Former NFL player Antonio Brown has returned to the United States to face trial for a shooting incident that took place in Miami nearly six months ago.
Brown, 37, was extradited from Dubai and taken into custody at Newark Airport in Essex County, New Jersey. Authorities have confirmed his arrival but have not disclosed the timeline for his transfer to South Florida.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on May 17 near 221 NE 67th St in Miami. Police responded following an alert from the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system.
"No arrests were made at the time, and no injuries were reported after officers interviewed several individuals at the scene."
