The comedian Alan Carr, 49, triumphed on the show Celebrity Traitors after a tense final on Thursday night, where he successfully concealed his Traitor role from the other contestants.
Following the episode, Alan appeared on the spin-off Uncloaked alongside the rest of the cast. There, he expressed deep remorse for deceiving his friends, especially for eliminating close friend Paloma Faith, 44.
Alan chose to make the pregnant singer his first victim by touching her face with pollen from a fake poisoned lily, provoking anger and feelings of betrayal from Paloma.
Alan said, "The thing is, when I killed Paloma I felt sick inside. And you've got to remember, it was such a cruel twist to touch someone's face."
He also told host Ed Gamble that he felt "awful" about the act but insisted he had no alternative but to pick his close friend.
Despite the emotional toll, Alan's successful deception led him to victory on the show.
"I felt awful doing the deed," Alan admitted.
His ability to hide his Traitor identity from the Faithful was key to his win.
