Elder Gérald Caussé Called as Newest Apostle

Elder Gérald Caussé is the first member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from France and has served as the Church’s presiding bishop for the last decade. He was called to fill a vacancy in the quorum following the death of President Russell M.

At 62 years old, Elder Caussé was ordained on Thursday, Nov., by Oaks and other members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Prior to his calling, he served as the presiding bishop of the Church.
