Elder Gérald Caussé Called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Gérald Caussé has been appointed as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Originally from Bordeaux, France, he is 62 years old and brings decades of leadership experience to his new calling.

Before this appointment, he served for eleven years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. Earlier in his ministry, he was a General Authority in Germany and later in the United States between 2008 and 2012.

He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for 30 years and are parents to five children. His messages often focus on faith, the strength of the rising generation, and the gathering of Israel.
