Netflix has unveiled the first five minutes of Stranger Things Season 5, setting the stage in Hawkins, 1983 — the year Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) mysteriously disappeared.
The opening scene takes viewers into the eerie Upside Down forest, where a terrified Will faces a chilling encounter. The ominous Demogorgon appears, chasing him through the woods until he is caught and handed over to Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), who emerges from the shadows.
The first episode, titled The Crawl, draws viewers back to Will Byers’ disappearance and his connection to the Upside Down.
Netflix describes the opening as: "Will is alone and petrified, and is having an eerie encounter... The Demogorgon catches up and hands him over to Vecna, who emerges from the shadows."
