Ben Shapiro criticizes Tucker Carlson for hosting Nick Fuentes
Ben Shapiro delivered a sharp critique of Tucker Carlson, accusing him of normalizing Nazi ideology by giving airtime to white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
“This is not about free speech,” Shapiro said during his extended monologue titled “Tucker Carlson Sabotages America.”
He called Carlson an intellectual coward and a dishonest interlocutor, labeling him a terrible friend who has become, in Shapiro’s view, the biggest disseminator of dangerous ideas in the country.
According to Shapiro, Carlson now operates as an ideological “launderer,” recasting extremist rhetoric from figures such as Fuentes into something palatable for conservative audiences. He alleged that Carlson’s platform helps integrate radical talking points into mainstream Republican discourse.
“Tucker Carlson decided to normalize and fluff Nick Fuentes … and the Heritage Foundation robustly defended that performance,” Shapiro said.
Following Carlson’s discussion with Fuentes, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts commended Carlson as a close ally of the conservative movement. Roberts denounced those calling for Carlson’s cancellation, describing them as part of a “venomous coalition” seeking to divide conservatives.
“Kevin said openly that Tucker Carlson can do nothing ever that will sever his relationship with the conservative movement,” Shapiro fumed.
