POP Chairman Lawrence Hamm Urges New Yorkers To Vote For Mamdani
A well-known New Jersey-based political and civil rights activist, Lawrence Hamm, urged voters to cast their ballots for Zohran Mamdani in the New York mayoral race.
"I urge all New Yorkers who have not cast their ballots during early voting to vote for Mamdani on Election Day,"
Lawrence Hamm, chairman of the Newark-based People’s Organization For Progress (POP), made this statement. POP is an all-volunteer grassroots organization that works for racial, social, economic justice, and peace.
Hamm noted that although he is not a New York City resident, he believes the outcome of the election will have an impact on people in New Jersey and the rest of the nation.
