With one day remaining before the Helena and East Helena municipal elections, Lewis and Clark County officials reported a steady stream of voters submitting their ballots on Monday.
As of Monday noon, 7,553 ballots had been accepted, accounting for approximately 35% of the 21,220 mailed out. This translates to over 30% of eligible voters in Helena and East Helena having cast their votes, with expectations of a significant increase by the end of Tuesday.
The number of rejected ballots remains relatively low, with 46 ballots still uncounted.
