Four Corners Executive Producer Resigns
Matthew Carney, executive producer of Four Corners since 2022, has resigned.
Carney will remain in his position until a successor is appointed, according to ABC News boss Justin Stevens.
- Carney joined ABC in 1995.
- He has won three Walkley Awards.
- He was previously executive producer of Foreign Correspondent and China bureau chief.
The resignation is unrelated to an investigation into reporter Mahmood Fazal.
ABC said Carney’s resignation was unrelated to an investigation into reporter Mahmood Fazal after he co-launched a podcast funded by an online cryptocurrency casino.
Four Corners is currently nominated in the 2025 Walkley Awards and won its last Gold Walkley in 2022.
