Concordia Damen Refits Inland Cargo Vessel Hirschhorn
Concordia Damen, a specialist inland waterways yard, has begun a major refit of the dry cargo vessel Hirschhorn for Reederei Deymann, a large German inland shipping company.
The vessel, which recently arrived at the Concordia Damen yard in Werkendam, Netherlands, will undergo significant transformations, including the replacement of its single engine and propeller shaft with a twin-shaft propulsion system powered by two new fuel-efficient diesel-electric engines.
