Coco Gauff defeated fellow American Jessica Pegula 6-4, 7-5 to capture the Wuhan Open in China.
The third-seeded Gauff and sixth-seeded Pegula, friends and former doubles partners, met in a final for the first time.
Coco Gauff sailed through the final four games of the second set to defeat Jessica Pegula.
