Seattle Mariners Advance to AL Championship Series
The Seattle Mariners have advanced to the American League Championship Series with a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.
In a historic game, Jorge Polanco hit a game-ending single in the 15th inning, making it the longest winner-take-all postseason game in baseball history.
Polanco drove in J.P. Crawford with a liner to right off Tommy Kahnle, after Crawford hit a leadoff single, Randy Arozarena was hit by a pitch and Julio Rodríguez was intentionally walked.
This victory came on the 472nd pitch of the epic game, securing the Mariners' spot in the AL Championship Series.
