RIT's College of Science will receive funding from the Simons Empire Faculty Fellows program for four junior tenure-track faculty positions.
The college will hire four new faculty members in priority areas, including mathematics, neuroscience, physics, and ecology and evolutionary biology.
Each award is for $825,000, totaling $3.3 million, and will provide salary, fringe, and start-up support for three years.
"This award is a tremendous opportunity for the College of Science to continue its upward trajectory in research and innovation,"said André Hudson, dean of the College of Science.
