Primetals Secures Cold Mill Supply Contract
Primetals Technologies has secured a contract to supply a continuous tandem cold mill (C-TCM) for silicon steel products to a major steel producer in China.
The contract includes the complete line design and supply of the C-TCM, as well as automation and advisory services for installation and commissioning.
- Project start operations: end of 2027
- Expected outcome: increase in annual output value
- Contract features: Hyper UCM with work roll shifting and optimized roll diameters
Hyper UCM technology allows operators to use smaller-diameter work rolls with shifting functionality, important for achieving thin final gauges.
