Mobile outreach teams of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties’ HART Hub have begun operations, providing support to individuals in need of care related to homelessness, mental health, and addictions.
The teams will serve across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, as well as the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, as part of the provincially-funded Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub project.
The project consists of three components: The Bridge Integrated Care Hub, which opened on April 1 in Belleville, the mobile outreach teams, and supportive transitional housing in Belleville, which is currently being planned.
The launch of the mobile teams was announced at a news conference at the Stirling-Rawdon base of Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services.
