The Lambton Lions had a successful home opener in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association basketball, sweeping the Redeemer Royals.
Tyrelle Miller led the men's team with 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a 91-59 win. AJ Edwards added 12 points, while Milos Lukac and Owen Newell each scored 10 points.
The women's team won 65-40, with Simone Wilson scoring 16 points, Keianna Cambridge adding 15, and Maddy Bishop scoring 14 points, along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Sarnia's Ryan Davies, along with Emily Voisey, won a bronze medal with the McMaster Marauders men's team at the Ontario University Athletics cross-country championship. Davies finished fifth on the team and 25th overall in the eight-kilometre race with a time of 24:52.
