Sharks Locker Room: Celebrini Going From Rookie to Superstar?

The San Jose Sharks were on the verge of blowing a third-period lead, but Macklin Celebrini saved the day with a 6-5 OT victory.

Despite dominating the first period 2-0, the Sharks allowed the opposing team to score, with Vincent Iorio taking a high-sticking penalty that led to a Marcus Johansson power play goal. An unforced error between Tyler Toffoli and Vincent Desharnais resulted in a 2-on-1 Marco Rossi strike.

“That was our own doing,” San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said. “That’s one big lesson.”

The same pattern repeated itself in the third period, but the Sharks managed to regain their lead.
