Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man and Chairman of the Dangote Group, confirmed the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has become the world's largest single-train oil processing plant.
The refinery, located in the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, increased its capacity from 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 1.4 million bpd, surpassing India's Jamnagar Refinery.
"We have successfully expanded from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day, making this the largest refinery in the world,"
Dangote declared, reflecting his company's faith in Nigeria's economic potential and President Bola Tinubu's industrial vision.
