Yorgos Lanthimos Takes a Break from Filmmaking
Yorgos Lanthimos, a 5x Oscar nominee, is due for some rest after releasing another award-worthy film with Emma Stone for the third consecutive year.
After the wide release of his latest movie Bugonia on October 31, Lanthimos admitted he needs
a little breakfrom filmmaking.
He had also intended to take a break after his previous two titles, Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024), but now he is serious about it, stating:
Well, I can’t keep doing that anymore. [Laughs] That’s what we’re certain of right now, and
It’s a big mistake. I’ve said that before in between the other three, but I’m serious now. I’m going to take a little break.
