The Sarnia Sting took on the Brantford Bulldogs, the No. 1 team in the Canadian Hockey League, and lost 3-1 in front of 3,035 fans at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
“You see Brantford coming in, you know they’re at the top of their conference … and you know it’s going to be a good fight,”
said Sting goalie Patrick Quinlan. The Sting came into the game with confidence after taking three of four points from the Western Conference-leading Windsor Spitfires last weekend.
“That was really big for us,”
said Sting forward Ryan Brown.
“It gave us a little bit of confidence to know we can stick in with these hard, good teams.”
The Eastern Conference-leading Bulldogs have a 9-0-1-1 record. The Sting were ready for the challenge and gave the Bulldogs a good battle.
