After five straight losses, the Saginaw Spirit secured a 5-3 win over the Erie Otters on Friday, October 24th, thanks to their power play effort.
The game started with the Spirit on the offensive, and they were quickly rewarded. Carson Harmer scored his second goal of the season just 1:02 into the game, assisted by a pass from James Guo that barely touched Sebastian Gervais' stick.
The Spirit continued to create scoring opportunities, putting pressure on Erie netminder Noah Erliden. Despite Saginaw's efforts, Erliden and the Erie defense made key plays to keep the score tied.
Erie managed to tie the game halfway through the first period. However, the Spirit's third-period push ultimately propelled them to victory.
The Saginaw power play was instrumental in the Spirit's 5-3 win.
