A woman caused damage to a truck in downtown Sault when she threw an object at it, according to court proceedings on Friday.
Ashley Biron was holding knives at the intersection of Albert Street East and Bruce Street, threatening to kill someone on August 24, 2024, as stated by assistant Crown attorney Adrianna Mucciarelli.
Biron pleaded guilty to several charges, including possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, mischief, missing court three times, and failing to report to a probation officer. These incidents occurred between March 2024 and September 2025, as heard by Ontario Court Justice Andrew Buttazzoni.
She said "I'm going to f—–g kill somebody,"
and held handlebars over her head before running from police. Justice Buttazzoni suggested that Biron may have been experiencing a "mental health episode" when she hurled the item at the truck.
Biron has 33 days of pre-sentence custody and was given one-and-a-half days credit for each day of incarceration.
