Sovereign Citizen Makes Extraordinary Demand
An alleged sovereign citizen, Helen Delaney, has made a remarkable request in a New South Wales court.
Delaney, linked to a radical anti-government organisation, is fighting a stalking charge and has demanded $75,000 an hour to appear in court.
- She is accused of obtaining personal information about a police officer and stalking or intimidating with the intent to cause physical harm.
- The alleged police victim is currently on WorkCover and unable to give evidence.
- Charges relating to a second officer were dropped.
Delaney was accused of targeting the officer who had previously arrested her over alleged domestic violence offences.
