Adding Driver's License to iPhone
In 11 U.S. states, residents can add their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on the iPhone and Apple Watch, providing a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age.
To add a driver's license, an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 9.5 or later is required.
- Open the Wallet app
- Tap the plus sign in the top-right corner
- Select Driver's License and ID Cards
- Follow the steps
The feature is available in the following 11 states and Puerto Rico.
