Pritzker Opposes Chicago Corporate "Head Tax"
Pritzker expressed his opposition to Mayor Brandon Johnson's plan to revive the corporate "head tax" in Chicago.
"I am absolutely, four-square opposed to a head tax for the city of Chicago," Pritzker said. "It penalizes the very thing that we want, which is we want more employment."
Pritzker's concerns include the potential damage to Illinois' reputation as a business hub, given that Chicago businesses already pay high state corporate income tax rates and commercial property taxes.
