A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries
Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.
Together with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery, they acknowledge that people with brain injuries often face challenges after being discharged home without sufficient support.
You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.
Many individuals may not fully understand their brain injury and might be navigating a legal battle for compensation without guidance.
While Headway Devon currently supports around 100 people each week, there are many more who are discharged home alone, unaware of the charity's services.
Thanks to the new partnership, Headway Devon can now provide support to individuals in the hospital, expanding their reach and services.
