USTA and NYC Parks Unveil Refurbished Tennis Courts at Kissena Park
On October 17, USTA officials, NYC Parks representatives, and elected officials gathered at Kissena Park in Flushing to cut the ribbon on four newly renovated tennis courts.
- New surfaces, freshly painted lines, and brand-new nets were installed as part of the $320,000 project.
- The project was funded by USTA Eastern, which oversees tennis in the Tri-State area.
The newly renovated courts will provide a "premium playing experience" for novice and experienced tennis players alike.
NYC Parks Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa, Assembly Member Nily Rozic, Queens Parks Commissioner Jacqueline Langsam, and USTA officials, including Daniel Zausner and Jennifer Schnitzer, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
