Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in cloud infrastructure, has experienced a major outage, taking down numerous websites worldwide.
Amazon cited an
"operational issue"as the reason for the AWS outage and said that it is
"working on multiple parallel paths to accelerate recovery".
The situation is impacting Amazon’s own operations, including its popular e-commerce website, as well as other websites such as Disney+, Lyft, McDonald’s, The New York Times, Robinhood Markets, T-Mobile, and United Airlines.
Some United Airlines customers reported on social media that they can no longer find their flight reservations online due to the situation at Amazon.
