Luzerne County Election Board to Start Post-Election Adjudication Earlier
The Luzerne County Election Board's post-election adjudication will commence sooner than in previous years.
According to County Election Director Emily Cook, adjudication will begin on Thursday, instead of the traditional Friday after elections. This process determines which flagged mail and provisional ballots are accepted or rejected and tallies write-in votes.
Cook attributed the earlier start to changes in procedures, prioritizing adjudication preparation. The adjudication, open to the public, will start at 9 a.m.
