A recent incident in the East Side of Chicago, a working-class Latino and Black community, saw a car chase end in a confrontation between federal agents and residents.
According to eyewitnesses, a car driven by an undocumented immigrant was allegedly rammed intentionally, and as federal agents pursued the occupants on foot, residents came out to check on the commotion.
One resident, Pauly, found an assortment of metal containers on his street, including a tear-gas canister, a smoke-grenade can, and a pepper-ball projectile round.
The situation eventually turned into a kind of protest, with the community standing up against the federal agents.
