State water officials have heard public feedback on the proposed water conservation program as Wyoming prepares for the fallout of Colorado River negotiations.
A draft of the state's Green River pilot water conservation program was presented during a meeting, with the 11 deadline to finish the Colorado River negotiations fast approaching.
Discussions between the basin states "are continuing"
According to Brandon Gebhart, the state engineer responsible for managing and regulating the water within Wyoming, the draft program is "a good starting point" but there's room for improvement.
