Good Fortune Review
Good Fortune is more witty than laugh-out-loud funny, but features a terrific performance by Keanu Reeves.
The film presents a prince-and-the-pauper-style fable, with Aziz Ansari playing a character living out of his car, which creates an immediate dissonance.
Ansari, a stand-up comedian turned multihyphenate, has a light presence, right down to the pitch of his voice; he’s gladhanding his way through his acting gigs.
Despite this, when Ansari's character, Arj, faces hardships, he seems more irritably inconvenienced than bone-deep weary.
