Volunteers needed for Scotch broom removal at Oregon Dunes
Volunteers are invited to join the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative and the Coos Watershed Association in removing invasive Scotch broom at the Sandtracks Picnic Area on Horsfall Road.
The event is scheduled for Saturday and aims to help native plants and open sand habitats thrive by removing invasive plants.
- Participants should bring: closed-toe shoes, work gloves, water, and snacks.
- Dress for the weather.
- Tools will be provided, but volunteers can bring their own shovels, hand saws, or loppers.
- Day use fees are waived for volunteers.
