Suspected Stolen Mercedes Hits Footpath After Police Chase
Footage has emerged of a suspected stolen Mercedes careering along a footpath after attempting to swerve a police stinger at speed.
According to reports, patrols had requested the driver to stop in Sturry Road, Canterbury, but the driver continued, hitting three other cars before officers lost sight of him.
- The incident occurred on October 11, just before 10am.
- Police attempted to bring the speeding Mercedes to a stop using a stinger device along the A28 Island Road.
The vehicle can be seen attempting to swerve the trap but its offside rear tyre appears to be clipped.
