Trump Announces Peace Summit with Putin in Budapest
President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing it as "very productive".
After the call, Trump announced that US Secretary of State will meet with Russian high-level advisers next week.
Trump also revealed plans for an in-person meeting with Putin in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
"to see if we can bring this 'inglorious' War between Russia and Ukraine to an end."
The telephone call lasted nearly 2.5 hours, according to Yuri Ushakov, President Putin's foreign policy aide.
