According to new data from Idealista, a leading Spanish property website, German nationals are applying for the most mortgages in Spain, accounting for 17.1 percent of foreign mortgages in the third quarter of 2025.

- Dutch: 8.3 percent
- US nationals: 5.1 percent
- Belgians: 4.2 percent
