Joey Iest Honors Valley Children's Hospital at Madera Speedway
Iconic motorsports racing driver Joey Iest is racing for something bigger than a trophy at Madera Speedway.
The 22-year-old Madera native will drive his No. 88 Ford, carrying the colors of Valley Children's Hospital in the nationally televised Short Track Shootout.
Watching my brother fight and seeing the care he got there really inspired me. Putting Valley Children's on my car is my way of saying thank you — and showing people the incredible work those doctors and nurses do every day.
Joey's older brother, Richie, fought cancer as a child and was treated at Valley Children's, a place that gave the family hope during tough days.
The Short Track Shootout draws top drivers from across the Western U.S.
