Chris White Impresses at Bathurst Debut
Christchurch motorsport star Chris White, the 2024-2025 Bridgestone GR86 Championship Rookie winner, made a notable debut at Bathurst, supporting the Bathurst 1000.
White secured his drive in the third round of the 2025 Toyota Australia GR Cup due to his rookie successes in New Zealand. He aimed to make steady progress throughout the practice sessions, qualifying, and three races.
- A huge crash in the first race hindered his progress from 26th on the grid.
- In the second race, he improved to 22nd.
- In the final race, he finished 14th, making solid progress.
We had set out to find the pace to be in or just outside the top ten within the three races so in the end getting to 14th with only two races was pretty satisfying.
