Director Scott Cooper on Working with Bruce Springsteen
Director Scott Cooper spoke to MOJO about his experience working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper shared that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, which added to the pressure of making a film about a cultural icon.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
Despite the pressure, Cooper noted that Springsteen was not directive, allowing the team to work freely on the project, based on Warren Zanes' 2023 Nebraska-era biography.
Cooper recalled that
