Domestic Violence Leads Murders in Las Vegas
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, domestic violence-related murders have increased in 2025 compared to 2024.
Data from the department shows 17 domestic violence-related murders in 2025, up from 16 in 2024.
- Total murders: 63 as of October 12
- Down 30% from 90 investigated at the same time last year
Domestic violence remains the leading cause of murders in LVMPD's jurisdiction.
The department hosted a tree dedication ceremony to honor the victims at the Robert E. “Bob” Price Recreation Center.
