This week, literature lovers gathered at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art to listen to local writers share their work.
The Visiting Writers Series serves as a celebration of creative writing, featuring three professors and writers from the University of Idaho: Michael McGriff, Thomas Dai, and Alexandra Teague.
They read from their published books and poetry, followed by a Q&A session where attendees asked about writing tips and specific aspects of the professors' work.
Dai, an essayist and assistant professor at UI, read passages from his new book, "Say My Name but Say It Slow," at the event.
