YouTube Experiences Major Outage
YouTube recently faced a significant outage, with thousands of users reporting issues.
According to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from multiple sources, over 600,000 users reported problems with the platform.
The issue was fixed by YouTube, as stated in their update on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 6 p.m.
YouTube says that it has fixed an issue affecting video streaming services for users Wednesday afternoon.
Downdetector reported that at its peak, 366,172 users in the U.S. had reported issues with YouTube.
