According to ITU's Seizo Onoe, the world needs trusted technical standards more than ever, based on broader participation than ever before.
Standards provide a common understanding about technologies – whether it’s about how to build them, how to use them, how to interconnect them, or how to keep them safe and sustainable.
Standards must deliver confidence and trust, especially in areas like artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum, says Seizo Onoe, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau.
