Canadian Men's Soccer Team Holds Colombia to Scoreless Draw

Canada's 26th-ranked men's soccer team gave a strong effort to hold 13th-ranked Colombia to a scoreless draw in an international friendly match.

The Canadian team, led by midfielder Stephen Eustaquio and winger Tajon Buchanan, proved to be a challenge for the South Americans, with both teams having few scoring chances until the final minutes.

"I think it was a good performance, not a great performance … I felt like most of the game we were in fourth or fifth gear and we could have really pushed ourselves into sixth gear,"
"We are the type of team that can play in these games, be better in these games and win these games,"

said Canada coach Jesse Marsch, who was not satisfied with the draw against an elite opponent.

Despite the positive result, Marsch believes the team can improve and win such games in the future.

Author's summary: Canada holds Colombia to a scoreless draw.
