Ex-AT&T Illinois Head May See Bribery Charges Dismissed
Former AT&T Illinois President Paul La Schiazza, accused of bribing then-Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, has entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors.
Under the agreement, La Schiazza will pay a $200,000 fine and admit to intending to bribe Madigan via a contract for the speaker's political ally.
