A routine traffic stop led to a significant drug bust, with the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department confiscating 24.5 pounds of cocaine valued at nearly $200,000.
The cocaine was found in a duffel bag inside the car of Tionia Britany Miles, 36, during a traffic stop on southbound I-65 near the Whitestown exit for Boone County Road 550 South.
"This was overnight shift, so while people were maybe watching 'Monday Night Football' or tucking their kids in for the night, our guys were out looking for criminals and criminal activity,"said John Jurkash.
The seized cocaine is the largest quantity of narcotics the department has confiscated in the past three years, with the driver facing preliminary felony charges.
