Anambra Governorship Election: 2.8 Million Registered Voters
Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Queen Elizabeth Agwu, announced that about 2.8 million registered voters are expected to participate in the November 8 governorship election.
During a strategy dialogue with the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room in Abuja, Agwu revealed that:
- 140,907 newly registered voters would collect their Permanent Voter Cards before the end of the week.
- 978 backup Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines have been prepared for deployment across 5,720 polling units in the state.
all ballot papers and result sheets are polling unit-specific, ensuring materials cannot be used outside their designated locations.
