Oracle Partners with AMD for AI Infrastructure
Oracle is expected to make several AI infrastructure announcements at Oracle OpenWorld CloudWorld AI World, with a focus on the growing demand for AI in the enterprise.
Recently, Oracle signed a deal with AMD to deploy a cluster of 30,000 AMD "Antares+" MI355X GPU accelerators in its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure public cloud.
Now, Oracle is also in line to receive AMD's "Altair" MI450 GPUs and "Helios" racks, further solidifying its partnership with AMD.
AI is the biggest new workload to hit the enterprise in decades.
As the market continues to evolve, Oracle's AI infrastructure deployments are expected to reflect the overall market share, with a balance of allocations across Nvidia, AMD, and custom XPU accelerators.
