SC Corrections Employees Accused of Misconduct

A pair of workers from the South Carolina Department of Corrections have been arrested and fired after one of them allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with an inmate.

Corina Francine Richards-Parnell, 34, and Brittany Alexandria Brazel, 35, were employed at SCDC’s Walden Farm in Columbia. Richards-Parnell was previously arrested on September 19 for allegedly delivering vapes to three inmates.

Warrants state the exchanges were reportedly later found on a cellphone that belonged to the inmate in question.
