Frankfurt Airport Cargo Sees Slight Increase in September 2025
Frankfurt Airport's airfreight and airmail rose to 170,505 tons in September, marking a 0.6% increase compared to the same month last year.
- Aircraft movements increased by 5.5%, with 41,997 takeoffs and landings recorded.
- Accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) climbed 2.9% to around 2.5 million metric tons.
The growth comes as Frankfurt continues to serve as Germany's key international gateway, handling a steady flow of cargo alongside passenger traffic.
Passenger numbers also increased, reaching approximately 6.0 million in September, while cargo figures across Fraport's Group airports worldwide were not specified.
